- Fees
Our fees are based on a set duration of time spent delivering training services for you, regardless of interruptions or breaks initiated by you or your learners. To get the most out of your time with your trainer try to minimise all interruptions and ensure you are well prepared for the session. - Expenses
In providing services Excel at Work may have to make payments to third parties on the client’s behalf. You will be notified of these prior expenses at the time of booking our services. These will be included in our invoice to you when the expense is incurred. - Cancellation and transfer by you
a. No administration fee will be charged should you want to cancel or move your booking to another date providing you have given notice to Excel at Work more than 14 days prior to the stated course date. If you have already paid your invoice and wish to cancel you will be reimbursed the invoice amount less any bank/credit card fees incurred. In the case of payments made by credit card, this is usually 2.9% of the total invoice amount.
b. Should a booking be cancelled or postponed less than 14 days prior to the course date Excel at Work reserves the right to apply the following charges:
– between 14 or fewer working days prior – $500 + GST or 50% of course fee. Whichever is the lesser.
– On the day of the course – $700+GST or 100% of course fee. Whichever is the lesser.
c. Should the number of participants change on the day of training your invoice will be adjusted. Please note that this may affect the price originally quoted to you due to differing rates based on numbers booked.
d. No Shows and Premature Departure
You will be charged the full amount for the number of attendees you have booked on the course, regardless of if they don't show or leave the training prematurely. If you or a member of your team cannot make the training, we recommend you find a replacement. If an attendee is being replaced, please notify the trainer as soon as possible so we can provide the replacement attendee with access to the training.
e. Minimum Enrolment Fees
Many of our courses are subject to minimum enrolment fees. These are shown on our Pricing page. This means you will be charged a minimum fee, regardless of the actual number of attendees at the session.
f. A member of our team will be in touch with your prior to your session date. Should you fail to reply or make contact within 3 working days of our communication with you, you will forfeit your booking time and your session will be cancelled. - Cancellation/postponement of courses by Excel at Work
Excel at Work reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course if the session cannot take place due to circumstances beyond Excel at Work’s control. In the circumstance of postponement you will be moved to another session time with no cost to you. If a course needs to be cancelled and you have pre-paid or placed a deposit on your course you will be given a full refund. - Refunds
The refund process must be initiated through the person or organisation who initially booked and paid for the training. Refunded fees will only be made to the same. Attendees of refunded courses forfeit access to our post training support. - Payment Terms
We invoice when you book. In most cases, unless prior arrangements have been agreed to, training fees are due prior to training delivery. In some cases we invoice in 2 parts with the initial invoice being a deposit. This deposit is subject to clause 3 and clause 4. We ask that the deposit is paid at least 14 working days prior to the scheduled session. Once your deposit is received your booking is secured. We then invoice the remainder post training. - Recording of training
We do not allow any of our training sessions to be recorded on any kind of recording device. - Disclaimer and limitation of liability
In the event of a course attendee (“learner”) choosing to access actual working files (“live data”), instead of using Excel at Work’s exercise files, during the course of the training, they do so at his/her/its own risk. While Excel at Work will take every care to ensure learners avoid loss of data, under no circumstances and under no legal theory (tort, contract or otherwise) shall Excel at Work or any of its affiliates, agents, employees, shareholders, directors, officers, third party content providers, successors or assignees be liable to the client or any other person or entity for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive or consequential damages of any character, including without limitation, damages for loss of goodwill, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, loss of data, loss of productivity or contract, or any and all other commercial damages or losses. Use of live data is at the Learner’s sole risk and any content that is used during the training is used at the learners discretion and risk, and the client is solely responsible for any damage to any computer system, and for any loss of data that results from the actions of the Learner. In no event will Excel at Work be liable for any damages, even if Excel at Work shall have been informed of the possibility of such damages, or for any claim by any other party. In no event will warranties provided by law, if any, apply unless they are required to apply by statute notwithstanding their exclusion by contract.
